FM Sa’ar to depart on a diplomatic visit to Austria and Slovakia

FM Sa'ar will hold meetings with senior government officials in both countries and will also hold a trilateral meeting with the foreign ministers of Austria and Germany and a bilateral meeting with the German foreign minister.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Gideon Sa’ar will leave tomorrow morning (Wednesday, 9 July 2025) for an official visit to Austria and Slovakia. As part of the visit, FM Sa’ar will hold meetings with Austrian Foreign Minister Beate Meinl-Reisinger, Slovakia’s Foreign Minister Juraj Blanár and other senior government officials in both countries, including Austrian President Alexander Van der Bellen. This is also a reciprocal visit after the Austrian Foreign Minister’s visit to Israel last Monday.

He will also hold a trilateral meeting with the foreign ministers of Austria and Germany and a bilateral meeting with the German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul.

As part of his visit, Minister Sa’ar will hold press conferences and interviews with local media and will meet with the Jewish communities in both countries.
