FM Sa’ar to depart for Hungary at the head of a large economic delegation
Minister of Foreign Affairs Gideon Sa’ar will depart this evening (Sunday, 26 October 2025) for an official visit to Hungary and Romania, during which he will meet with senior government officials in both EU member states.
Joining the Minister’s visit to Hungary is a high-level economic and business delegation of about 50 Israeli business leaders and heads of economic organizations.
The delegation will focus primarily on the fields of cybersecurity, communications and space, medicine, agriculture, technology, and energy. This is the largest Israeli economic-business delegation ever sent to Hungary, marking another milestone in strengthening and advancing the excellent relations between the two countries. During the visit, members of the delegation will hold more than 150 business meetings and encounters with Hungary’s business and economic leadership, as well as receive briefings from senior local officials.
The delegation, initiated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, is organized by the ministry of Foreign Affairs in cooperation with the Israel Export Institute, the Manufacturers Association of Israel, and the Federation of Israeli Chambers of Commerce. It will hold an economic forum chaired by Minister Sa’ar and Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs Péter Szijjártó, with the participation of business leaders and senior figures from Hungary’s economy.
Later, on Tuesday, Minister Sa’ar will make his first official visit to Romania, where a new government was established in June of this year, following the victory of Nicușor Dan in the presidential elections this past May.
