Jerusalem, 11 June, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Israeli customs inspectors at uncovered eight tons of undeclared tobacco disguised as sawdust in a shipping container at the Ashdod Port, the Israel Tax Authority said on Wednesday.

The importer, Amir al-Naami, is suspected of attempting to evade nearly NIS 13 million ($13.1 million) in taxes.
