Jerusalem, 17 August, 2025 (TPS-IL) — The Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased in Israel by 0.4% in July 2025, compared to June 2025, reaching an index level of 103.5 points (base: average 2024=100.0 points). This is according to data released by Israel’s Central Bureau of Statistics.
The Consumer Price Index excluding vegetables and fruits and the Consumer Price Index excluding energy increased by 0.5%, reaching an index level of 103.7 points, each.
The Consumer Price Index excluding housing increased by 0.3%, reaching an index level of 103.1 points.
Notable price increases were recorded in the following categories: transportation, which rose by 1.6%, culture and entertainment, which rose by 1.3%, and housing, which rose by 1.1%.
Notable price declines were recorded in the following categories: clothing and footwear, which fell by 4.2%, fresh vegetables and fruits, which fell by 0.9%, and furniture and home equipment, which fell by 0.4%.
Since the beginning of the year, the CPI rose by 2.5%, the CPI excluding vegetables and fruits and the CPI excluding energy rose by 2.6%, each, and the CPI excluding housing rose by 2.4%.
In the last twelve months (July 2025 compared to July 2024), the Consumer Price Index increased by 3.1%. The Consumer Price Index excluding Energy increased by 3.4%, the Consumer Price Index excluding Fruit and Vegetables increased by 3.2%, and the Consumer Price Index excluding Housing increased by 2.7%.
