Cache of Tires for Burning on Highways Uncovered
Tel Aviv police uncover cache of tires for highway burning in Tel Aviv and Sharon areas. Suspected tactic used by protestors.
Jerusalem, 26 August, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Tel Aviv Region police located a cache of tires in the area, which they suspected were intended for burning and blocking major highways in the Tel Aviv and Sharon areas. Demonstrators sometimes burn automobile tires to block traffic.
This has ben used as a tactic during the many recent protests, such as those on behalf of Israelis still held hostage in Gaza and Ultra-Orthodox people in opposition to being drafted into military service.
