Jerusalem, 3 September, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s ministry of Agriculture and Food Security will provide approximately NIS 1.3 million ($390,000) in support to pasture-raised beef cattle farmers for 2025–2026. The initiative aims to boost productivity across the industry while helping reduce the cost of living. Around 1.2 million dunams (1,200 sq. km) of grazing land will benefit from the program, which covers 60% of investments in new technologies, mechanization, herd health, and infrastructure.
Ministry Deputy Director-General Yossi Steinberg said the support “strengthens breeders, improves efficiency, and safeguards national food security,” while also preserving Israel’s open spaces as both an environmental and strategic asset.
