Police seize weapons, arrest 9 in West Bank raids
Israel Police seized hunting rifles, a combat vest, ammunition, and a pistol in West Bank raids, arresting 9 suspects for weapons offenses and security-related.
Upon the forces’ arrival at the scene, the suspects attempted to conceal the weapons and throw them out of the house window before the detectives. During a search, two hunting rifles, a combat vest, and ammunition were located and seized. Two suspects, residents of the area (aged 20), were arrested for investigation on suspicion of possessing weapons and attempting to obstruct justice and conceal evidence. In another proactive operation, by officers from the Modi’in Illit station and fighters from the Benjamin Regional Brigade, in villages adjacent to Route 443 in the Samaria sector, a Palestinian suspect was arrested for investigation with a pistol in his possession. In addition to him, six more suspects were located and arrested, who are wanted for investigation for offenses related to security and weapons. Furthermore, in an additional counter-terrorism operation carried out by officers from the Hebron station of the Israel Police, along with fighters from the Judea Regional Brigade and the Weapons and Ammunition Combat Unit of the Central Command, lathes used for repairing and converting weapons, and accompanying engraving equipment, were confiscated tonight in the Palestinian village of Tarkumiya.
