Jerusalem, 8 March, 2026 (TPS-IL) — In accordance with the defense policy published today by the Home Front Command and in light of the restrictions that apply to the activity of the education system, the Ministry of Education announced that learning in all educational institutions will continue to take place in a remote learning format until Monday, March 9, inclusive.

The Home Front Command is expected to hold another situation assessment on Monday evening. In accordance with the instructions that will be given after that, the Ministry of Education will update the public regarding the continuation of the learning plan.

Local authorities that wish to examine an exceptional opening of educational institutions in their area will be able to submit a request on the subject, which will be examined in coordination with the Home Front Command and the Ministry of Education.

In addition, the Ministry of Education announces that this Friday (March 13) there will be no classes at all educational institutions, neither in a physical format nor through distance learning, in order to concentrate learning efforts during the week.
