“First of all, citizens of Israel, I ask you to follow the Home Front Command‘s instructions. They save lives. They have saved many lives here. But unfortunately, not all of them, because there were people who, unfortunately, were not inside protected areas.
I send condolences to the families who lost their loved ones, and I also send wishes for a full and speedy recovery to the wounded. And we are helping and will continue to help. I want to thank the rescue and rehabilitation teams. We will rebuild – and we will build even more.
We are on the third day of the ‘Roar of the Lion’ campaign. We launched this campaign to remove the attempt to renew existential threats from us, and we also launched it to create the conditions for the brave Iranian people to cast off the yoke of tyranny.
The day they will be able to do so is drawing near, we are bringing it closer. When I say ‘we’ – it is us and our steadfast friend, the United States, and our very steadfast friend, President Trump. This day is drawing near, and when it arrives, Israel and the United States will be there with the Iranian people – and it is important that the Iranian people be there with us. It depends on them. We will be there.
We are, of course, in a situation where every day reveals anew the true face of the terror regime in Tehran. The terror regime shoots at civilians, and we shoot at the terror regime to protect civilians. This is a huge difference – it reveals their barbarity. When I said barbarity, I said, and I have been warning for many years, that they threaten not only Israel and call not only for ‘Death to Israel’ and ‘Death to America’ – they threaten all the peoples of the region. They shot yesterday at a large part of the region’s countries, and I also said: ‘They also shot at Europe.’ Well, they also shot at Europe. And if this terror regime has nuclear weapons, they will threaten all of humanity.
So we launched this to remove this danger as well, first and foremost from ourselves, from us, but we are acting here together with the United States on behalf of and for the sake of all of humanity.
I draw immense strength from the steadfastness of our citizens, from the bravery of our fighters and commanders. In this week’s Torah portion, we read ‘Remember what Amalek did to you.’ We remember – and we act.”
