Commander of the Home Front Command, Major General Ori Gordin, visited the impact site in the Zarzir Local Council today (Sunday).

During his visit, he met with the head of the council and emphasized to him the importance of adhering to Home Front Command instructions, which saved lives at the impact site.

Commander of the Home Front Command, Major General Ori Gordin, said: “I am here in the Zarzir Local Council, in the area where the Iranian missile hit. This is a missile that hit near houses, and the damage was caused by the blast wave. This blast wave is lethal and extremely significant.”

“Most of the people who were saved were in a standard protected space. Those who were in a standard protected space were not damaged or injured. Those who were not in a standard protected space were injured – and this highlights the importance of adhering to instructions and being in a standard protected space.” 

“I want to add that in recent days we have been taking actions to improve and upgrade our warning systems with the intention of reducing the areas of preemptive instructions. In light of this, we are working to make the preemptive instructions more precise so that fewer people receive them unnecessarily.”
