Home Front Command Commander, Major General Ori Gordin, said: “Good evening. We are in the midst of the 12th day of Operation ‘Lion’s Roar’, an operation whose purpose is to inflict deep and severe damage on the Iranian regime and its military capabilities.”
“An operation whose purpose is to ensure our future and existence in the State of Israel, alongside reducing damage to the Israeli home front. First, I want to express deep appreciation to the residents of the State of Israel for the steadfastness and resilience you are demonstrating. It must be said, we had a challenging night with several alerts.”
“Citizens of Israel in general, and residents of the North in particular, we have gone through over two and a half years, two complex and challenging years. The Home Front Command is deployed nationwide and operates in cooperation with all emergency organizations, with the Israel Police, with the Fire and Rescue Services, and with Magen David Adom, and with the local authorities. From this, I went north today to sit with the local authorities and meet with the leadership and the public.”
“I met with responsible, professional, and brave leadership that demonstrates extraordinary resilience. I am aware of the challenges that the security reality presents us. I want to start by addressing the defense policy and the alerts.”
“If there is a threat from a third circle like Iran, there is more time to give advance warning, and then the alert follows. If it is from Lebanon, there is less time. I want to tell you that the IDF has the most advanced and leading defense systems in the world.”
“At the same time, defense, the defense systems are not hermetic. Therefore, adherence to the Home Front Command’s instructions and taking shelter is extremely important. The IDF operates 24/7 to deepen the damage to the Iranian regime and its military capabilities, both ballistic and nuclear.”
“The IDF is operating significantly against the northern front. I know, residents of the North, that with the renewal of fighting on the northern front, a feeling of discomfort and uncertainty arises. Alongside this, I want to say that the IDF is beyond the border, protecting the residents of the North and operating significantly to inflict deep damage on Hezbollah.”
“From here, I want to say that we in the Home Front Command consider the defense policy on a daily basis, alongside the central consideration of maintaining the security of Israeli citizens, alongside maintaining the continuity and national functioning of the Israeli economy and the education systems. From here, I want to wish a full recovery to the wounded and express heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families who have lost their dearest ones. Citizens of Israel, your resilience and steadfastness are important for us to achieve victory.”
