Since the morning hours, approximately 200 fighter jets, guided by Aman and the Air Force, have completed a widespread strike against the missile array and defense systems of the Iranian terror regime in western and central Iran.
This is the largest attack sortie in the history of the Israeli Air Force, carried out after meticulous planning with quality intelligence, synchronizing hundreds of aircraft simultaneously. Air Force aircraft dropped hundreds of munitions on approximately 500 targets, including defense systems and missile launchers in several areas concurrently across Iran. The attack on the defense systems enabled the expansion of air superiority over Iran’s skies and severely damaged the regime’s most central offensive capability – the launch sites in western Iran.
One of the targeted sites was established in the Tabriz region of western Iran. The site was used by the surface-to-surface missile unit, and from it, they planned to launch dozens of missiles towards the home front of the State of Israel.
The completed sortie thwarted numerous threats to Air Force aircraft and to the home front of the State of Israel.
The Air Force, in cooperation with Aman and the Operations Directorate, continues to operate in Iran’s skies.
