Most of the Iranian Basij’s key assets in Ilam province were destroyed.

Since the beginning of Operation “Lion’s Roar”, the Air Force, under the guidance of Military Intelligence (Aman), has been systematically attacking the systems and capabilities of the Iranian terror regime.

Over the past week, the IDF has deepened its strikes on the infrastructure of the Internal Security forces and the Basij throughout Iran, which are part of the regime’s armed forces.

One of the main provinces where most of the regime’s infrastructure was hit is ‘Ilam’, a province where these forces have carried out many terror plots and, among other things, brutally suppressed internal protests in Iran during December-January.

The IDF is now revealing that most of the most critical assets of the Internal Security forces and the Basij in the province have been destroyed, including:

  • The main headquarters of Internal Security
  • The headquarters of the Iranian regime’s central intelligence body (the Ministry)
  • The headquarters of the Revolutionary Guards responsible for protest suppression battalions
  • The headquarters of the Internal Security special unit
  • Several headquarters of Basij units and infrastructure of the Revolutionary Guards used to increase the regime’s control and governance in the province

The strike on the armed suppression and control mechanisms in ‘Ilam’ province is one example among many.

These armed forces are part of the Iranian regime’s security apparatus and have been responsible for carrying out terror plots for years. In addition, these forces lead the main suppression operations of internal protests, especially in recent times, using severe violence, widespread arrests, and the use of force against civilian demonstrators.

The completed attacks are part of the phase of deepening the damage to the core systems of the Iranian terror regime and degrading its capabilities.
