Jerusalem, 4 March, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Population and Immigration Authority reported that 8,461 Israelis were able to Return to the country from abroad since the start of Operation Roaring Lion against Iran began Saturday morning. As of the start of Israel’s assault on the Iranian regime and its military, Israel closed down all air traffic in and out of the country due to security concerns. As such, Israelis can only return home from abroad either by seas or by air to either Jordan or Egypt and then overland through a border crossing.

Below is the data on entry and exit of Israelis only (cumulative data) from Saturday, February 28, 2026 at 8:00 AM to Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at 4:00 PM.

A total of 8,461 Israelis entered Israel through all crossings:

6,944 through land crossings
128 by sea
1,389 by air (on some sort of specially arranged flight or on flights that were not diverted before the hostilities began because they were already on approach)

A total of 5,342 Israelis left the country through all crossings:

4,604 through land crossings
190 by sea crossings
548 by air
