Clarification regarding parental absences for childcare due to the closure of educational institutions
The Ministry of Labor defines a child for emergency childcare leave as under 14, or students with special needs aged 3-21.
The Ministry of Labor clarifies regarding the definition of a child according to the Protection of Employees in Emergency Situations Law:
A person who has not yet reached the age of 14, as well as a student with special needs aged 3 to 21 (including 21 according to the Interpretation Law), and this is in accordance with the definition according to the Special Education Law.
