300,000 Israelis Returned Home as Ministry of Transportation Ends War Time Repatriation Efforts
Israel's Ministry of Transportation has ended its wartime repatriation efforts, successfully bringing 300,000 Israelis home since February 28.
Jerusalem, 9 April, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel shut down the headquarters of the Ministry of Transportation’s efforts to repatriate Israelis stranded abroad during the war, the ministry said.
With flights in and out of Ben Gurion Airport severely restricted by the war, the ministry worked around the clock to bring 300,000 Israelis home since Feb. 28, while another 310,000 Israelis left the country.
