The Minister of Communications, Dr. Shlomo Karhi and the Mayor of Jerusalem, Moshe Leon, inaugurated a new cellular communications antenna in the Pisgat Ze’ev neighborhood: “Another step in connecting Jerusalem to an advanced and reliable network”

The project, piloted by the Ministry of Communications and the Jerusalem Municipality, was launched under the direction of Mayor Moshe Leon, who made expanding and improving cellular reception in the city a top priority.
The new site, established by Partner and HOT through the Phi company, will provide improved coverage for residents of the neighborhood using advanced technologies, including 4G and 5G transmitters.

In recent years, the Minister of Communications, in collaboration with the Mayor, has been driving an extensive effort to bolster and upgrade the capital city’s communications infrastructure.
Since 2020, 55 new cellular antenna sites have been added, and another 118 existing antenna sites have been upgraded – a figure that demonstrates the significant investment in connecting Jerusalem to an advanced and reliable network.

The Minister of Communications, Dr. Shlomo Karai, stated:
“In recent years, we have invested a great deal of effort to ensure that the citizens of Israel benefit from advanced and reliable communications infrastructure.
Thanks to the fruitful cooperation with the Mayor, Jerusalem is not only at the top of our list of priorities but also at the top of the performance chart in the field.
A look at the data shows how much this commitment is reflected:
Over the past two years, we have added 37 new active cellular antenna sites, net, in the capital city of Israel, compared to only 18 over the previous three years and we upgraded 74 cellular antenna sites compared to 44 over the previous three years – almost three times as many per year, on average.
“For the land is filled with the awareness of the Lord.”
We are proud to be dignities of Jerusalem.”

The Mayor of Jerusalem, Moshe Leon, Stated:
“I am excited to inaugurate another cellular antenna site today, together with the Minister of Communications, Dr. Shlomo Karai, for the benefit of the residents of Jerusalem.
As I promised, we will continue to work to improve the quality of life for the city’s residents, and the establishment of the new antenna site at Pisgat Ze’ev is another significant step in this direction. I thank Minister Karai and all our associates for the fruitful cooperation and I promise that we will continue to work vigorously to expand the deployment of cellular communications infrastructure throughout the city.”

The Ministry of Communications, in cooperation with the Jerusalem Municipality and cellular companies, continues to work to expand coverage and upgrade infrastructure throughout the capital, so that every resident can benefit from high quality, reliable, and available cellular communications.
