Jerusalem, 5 February, 2026 (TPS-IL) — At the end of the EducAItion conference – the international conference on artificial intelligence and innovation in education, held this week in Jerusalem at the initiative of Israel’s Ministry of Education – education ministers, government representatives and policymakers from around the world adopted the “Jerusalem Declaration”, a declaration that serves as a gateway to international cooperation for the advanced, responsible and ethical integration of artificial intelligence into national education systems.

“The adoption of the Jerusalem Declaration constitutes one of the conference’s highlights, culminating three days of discussions, policy presentations, and in-depth professional discourse on the future of education in the age of artificial intelligence,” said the Ministry.

At the heart of the declaration is the clear agreement and desire for strong and continuous international cooperation and the understanding that artificial intelligence is not just a supporting technology, but a shaping force that profoundly influences the ways in which the next generation learns, teaches, and trains.

According to the declaration, the countries, more than 30, will work together to promote pedagogical innovation, develop AI literacy from an early age, train teachers to work with advanced technologies, and implement common ethical, legal, and technological standards – while safeguarding the well-being of students, their social and emotional development, and the good of the entire education system.
