West Bank: Weapons seized, 3 arrested in police ops

Israel Police seize weapons, arrest 3 in West Bank operations, including counterfeit goods bust.

A suspect (48) was arrested for investigation. Earlier, during an operation by Border Police fighters in Judea and Samaria in the West Bank, in Tubas on the eve of the holiday, weapons of the Shatgan type, a pistol, and ammunition were located. A suspect (70) was arrested for investigation at the Ariel station. These activities join extensive operations that took place on Monday in Az-Zaim, in which officers from the Ma’ale Adumim station, riot police officers from the Gilad sector, Border Police fighters in Judea and Samaria in the West Bank, and representatives of the Intellectual Property Federation participated. During a search of a house, an airsoft rifle and pistol were found in one of the children’s bedrooms. The suspects, a father (44) and his son (18), were arrested and transferred for investigation at the Ma’ale Adumim station. Alongside this activity, forces worked to increase governance by locating vehicles prohibited for use (stolen vehicles). Following intelligence, a business selling counterfeit products was located. After inspecting the premises, a large quantity of equipment suspected of being counterfeit, valued at approximately a quarter of a million NIS, was confiscated.
