Jerusalem, 12 November, 2025 (TPS-IL) — More than two years after the deadly Hamas attack on Kibbutz Be’eri, Israeli authorities discovered weapons and communication devices belonging to the terrorists inside a local kindergarten on Wednesday.
Civilian restoration teams working in the kibbutz reported the items to police, prompting a swift response from bomb disposal units. Upon inspection, officers identified loaded Kalashnikov rifles and walkie-talkies used by Hamas terrorists during the October 7 massacre.
“The weapons had remained hidden in the area since the battles, and our teams have now neutralized them in a controlled manner,” a police spokesperson said.
More than 100 residents of the kibbutz were killed and 32 were taken hostage on October 7, 2023.
The remains of three of the last four bodies held in Gaza were from Be’eri: Meny Godard, 73; Dror Oz, 48; and 43 year-old Thai agricultural worker Sudthisak Rinthalak. The fourth, Master Sgt. Ran Gvili, was killed at the neighboring Kibbutz Alumim.
