Yesterday, officers from the Umm al-FahmPolice Station, in cooperation with Border Police Tactical Brigade, carried out a precise operation on a residence in the city, following the double murder that occurred two days ago.
During the search, a large cache of illegal weapons was located, including handguns, weapon parts, fully loaded magazines, pipe bombs, and fuel bottles, which were suspected to be intended for the commission of a serious crime.
In addition, it was found that the suspects were subject to a court-ordered restriction from the city and had violated a lawful court order.
The suspects were arrested for questioning at the Umm al-Fahm Police Station and, upon completion of their interrogation, were remanded in custody.
In accordance with the needs of the investigation and its findings, the police will request an extension of their detention in court.
We expect the courts and the prosecution to work hand in hand with the police, to impose harsher penalties, and to fight the phenomenon of serious crime and organized crime families together.
