Police Chief Tours Nahariya, Mateh Asher for Security Briefings

The Police Commissioner met with the station officers, Carmel Special Patrol Unit officers, and the city’s reserve unit. He was presented with the operational deployment and emergency preparedness, including the station’s command post and the municipality’s command post operating within the station complex. During the meeting, the operational preparedness was sharpened, and the close cooperation between the Police and the local authority for the residents’ security was emphasized. Subsequently, the Police Commissioner arrived at the Mateh Asher Regional Council, where a working meeting was held with the Head of the Council, Mr. Moshe Davidovitch, and his deputy, Eyal Reiss, with the participation of Asher District Commander, Superintendent Wissam Ali, and Nahariya Station Commander, Superintendent Bassam Alian. During the meeting, the emergency preparedness in the sector and the close cooperation between the Police, the local authority, and the bodies operating in the field were presented. At the end of the visit, the Police Commissioner met with the officers of the Nahariya station and the Asher Special Patrol Unit and spoke with them about their activities within the operation. “Israel Police operates in close cooperation with local authorities and partner bodies. The connection between the authorities, the residents, and the Police is a force multiplier and a game-changer, both in routine and in emergencies,” said the Police Commissioner during the visit. “You are here to protect the people of Israel and safeguard the home front. We have someone to rely on. You leave behind a home and family, and sometimes risk your lives to protect the public. I thank you and am proud of you. As you continue to operate with motivation and a sense of mission, we will win both the war and the crime.”
