PM Netanyahu mourns IDF Sgt. Major Ofri Yaffe, killed in a painful friendly fire incident in Gaza. Israel bows its head for the heroic fighter.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu:
My wife Sara and I extend our heartfelt condolences and share in the deep sorrow of the family of Sergeant Major Ofri Yaffe, may he rest in peace, a fighter in the Paratroopers Reconnaissance Unit, who fell from our forces’ fire in the painful incident in the Gaza Strip.
The entire nation of Israel bows its head for the fall of Ofri, may he rest in peace, who went out to fight heroically in order to safeguard Israel‘s security.
May his memory be blessed and preserved forever.
