Today, Thursday, July 31, 2025, the National Security Council (NSC) reiterates the travel warning issued for the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
We are emphasizing this travel warning given our understanding that terrorist organizations (the Iranians, Hamas, Hezbollah and Global Jihad) are increasing their efforts to harm Israel. Our assessment is that they are driven by heightened motivation to exact revenge following Operation Rising Lion, in addition to the anti-Israel and pro-Palestinian incitement which has intensified since the start of Operation Iron Swords, and even more so in response to Hamas‘ starvation campaign.
Our past experience has taught us that the terrorist organizations often focus their efforts in neighboring countries. In light of this, the NSC is reiterating the possibility that they will try to carry out attacks against Israeli and Jewish targets in the UAE, especially on Jewish holidays and Shabbat.
It should be noted that the NSC’s level-3 travel alert for the UAE, which was issued a while ago, is still valid. The alert strongly advises avoiding non-essential travel and seriously reconsidering travel to the country.
The NSC advises adhering closely to its recommendations as they appear on the NSC website, and in particular:
• Be extra vigilant, pay attention to your surroundings.
• Avoid displaying Israeli and Jewish symbols in public, including wearing clothing with Hebrew writing or other identifying markers indicating your origin or religion.
• Avoid large events and gatherings of Israelis, including visiting Israeli/Jewish institutions.
• If you are suspicious of any unusual activity, please contact local security authorities.
• Through the relevant organizations, the Israeli security system works closely with the authorities and security agencies around the world to counter terrorist threats targeting Israelis and Jews abroad.
To be clear: if you are concerned that you have been exposed to a terrorist threat while abroad, we recommend that you first contact the local security forces of that country and then the NSC’s travel alert hotline (active 24/7), at +972-2-666-7444.
