Massive Pile of Various Weapons Seized in Raid of Jerusalem Arab Neighborhood
Israeli forces seized a massive pile of various weapons, including M16s and pistols, in a Jerusalem Arab neighborhood raid. One suspect arrested.
Jerusalem, 16 February, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Border Police and IDF (Israel Defense Forces) units last night seized large quantities of weapons and military equipment in nighttime operation in Kafr ‘Aqab, an Arab neighborhood in eastern Jerusalem.
The seizure came as part of what the IDF described as a “proactive and focused operational activity” to locate and thwart the possession of illegal weapons, during which the forces raided a large number of targets in the village, under the direction of the Shin Bet (Israel’s anti-terror General Security Service).
During the operation, the forces conducted targeted searches in the area, during which they seized a large amount of weapons and related equipment, including: an M16 weapon, two Glock pistols, a conversion system for a “Micro Roni” pistol, an airsoft pistol, four pistol cartridges, 9 mm ammunition, nine M-16 cartridges, a Trijicon riflescope, a sniper scope, a gun holster, weapon straps, grips, bipods, weapon grips, and a dedicated weapon flashlight.
One suspect was arrested and transferred to the Shin Bet for further investigation.
