Jerusalem, 14 January, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israeli authorities raided the Shuafat refugee camp in eastern Jerusalem, seizing 13,260 unsupervised eggs, 90,000 packs of counterfeit cigarettes valued at around NIS 890,000 NIS ($283,0000, and ten vehicles on Wednesday morning. The Israeli Police said the operation targeted illegal and unsafe goods that pose risks to public health and security.
Four businesses were fined or summoned, and 13 suspects were arrested.
