Jerusalem, 12 April, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israeli forces, including Yahalom (Diamond) Combat Engineers Special Forces destroyed an explosives-making laboratory in the Tulkarm refugee camp, following what the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) said was an “intelligence indication,” said, the units located and destroyed an explosives-making laboratory in the Tulkarm camp in the Ephraim Brigade on Friday.

As part of the operation, the forces located a variety of weapons and materials used to make explosives in the laboratory, including:
* Improvised explosive devices, including approximately 200 pipe explosives
* Fire extinguishers designed to attach explosives to vehicles
* Large gas cylinders with the potential to be used as ventral charges designed to hit armored vehicles
* More than 50 kg of improvised explosives

The IDF said the explosives prepared in the laboratory were intended to harm its forces operating in Judea and Samaria, and to carry out terrorist attacks against citizens of the State of Israel. The laboratory operated before the IDF began continuous activity in the camps in northern Samaria.

IDF forces’ activity in the area has been ongoing for more than a year, during which the forces have been locating ammunition, weapons and explosive devices that were used by terrorist organizations in the area and posed a threat to citizens of the State of Israel and IDF forces.
