Iranian Quds Force Commander Hassan Ali Marwan Eliminated One Week After Predecessor Was Killed
The IDF eliminated Quds Force commander Hassan Ali Marwan in Beirut, leading the Imam Hussein Division responsible for missile attacks against Israel.
Jerusalem, 18 March, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The IDF (Israel Defense Forces) attacked and killed terrorist Hassan Ali Marwan in Beirut yesterday (Tuesday). Marwan who served as commander of the Imam Hussein Division after being promoted to the position about a week ago after his predecessor Ali Masalem Tabaja was eliminated.
Marwan previously served as the division’s operations manager and served as division commander.
This Is The third commander of the Imam Hussein Division to be killed by the IDF since Operation Northern Arrows against Hezbollah began in September 2024.
In practice, said the IDF, Marwan was responsible for the connection between the division and the military leaders of the terrorist organization Hezbollah and the Quds Force. In addition, he commanded the launching of missiles, hostile aircraft, and rockets towards the State of Israel and IDF forces operating in southern Lebanon.
In his role as head of operations, he was responsible for building the strength of all division operatives and managed the deployment of division operatives in southern Lebanon.
The Imam Hussein Division is a military force used by the Iranian Quds Force to advance the interests of the Iranian terrorist regime and to exert force against the IDF and the citizens of the State of Israel.
“The attack on the Imam Hussein Division is significant for the military capabilities of the Iranian terrorist regime and the Hezbollah terrorist organization in the State of Lebanon and throughout the entire Middle East,” said the IDF.
