Jerusalem, 1 April, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Iran fired an unusually heavy barrage of eight to 10 ballistic missiles toward central Israel on Wednesday afternoon, triggering repeated sirens across the area and sending rescue teams to multiple impact sites.

In several locations, missile alerts sounded five times within minutes as the salvo targeted the Tel Aviv metropolitan area. Rescue forces were dispatched to reported impact scenes in Tel Aviv, Ramat Gan, Bnei Brak and Savyon.

Magen David Adom said its teams searched 10 separate locations from which emergency calls were received and found no direct physical casualties. Medics treated several people for anxiety and five civilians who were injured while rushing to protected areas, according to the emergency service.

Shortly after residents in central Israel were cleared to leave protected spaces, new alerts were issued warning of another incoming missile barrage targeting large parts of the country. Those warnings were followed by Sirens in several areas of central Israel, prompting residents to return to shelters.
