Jerusalem, 10 July, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Israel struck around 180 targets across the Gaza Strip in the past 24 hours, as part of a continued effort to dismantle Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad military infrastructure, the Israel Defense Forces said on Thursday.
According to the IDF, airstrikes were coordinated with ground operations where combat teams uncovered weapons and destroyed several tunnel shafts. Troops also identified a Hamas terrorist cell operating from a military site, which was subsequently targeted and eliminated by an Israeli aircraft.
Separately, a separate unit discovered another terror cell operating from an Islamic Jihad facility. “In a quick closing of the circle,” the IDF said, the Air Force struck the site, killing the terrorists.
The IDF said the 180 airstrikes targeted terrorist cells, weapons depots, underground routes, booby-trapped buildings, and anti-tank missile launch sites across the coastal enclave.
In southern Gaza’s Khan Yunis, forces located and destroyed a tunnel approximately 500 meters long and 13 meters deep. Over the past week, the operation resulted in the elimination of dozens of terrorists and the destruction of more than 130 terrorist infrastructures.
These included above- and below-ground weapons caches, booby-trapped buildings, observation posts, and launch sites aimed at Israeli troops.
At least 1,180 people were killed, and 252 Israelis and foreigners were taken hostage in Hamas’s attacks on Israeli communities near the Gaza border on October 7. Of the 50 remaining hostages, around 30 are believed to be dead.
