IDF: Ceasefire Osberved, High Alert Remains, Lebanon Ops Continue

The IDF observed a ceasefire with Iran after striking launch sites and production infrastructure, but remains on high alert and continues operations in Lebanon.

Jerusalem, 8 April, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The IDF said it completed a broad overnight wave of strikes against launch sites and launchers in Iran aimed at significantly reducing the volume of fire toward Israel.

According to the military, Israeli Air Force fighter jets, guided by military intelligence, struck Dozens of launch sites, disrupting what it described as a broader barrage of ballistic missiles intended for Israel. The military also said key production infrastructure of the Iranian Regime was hit in several parts of the country.

The IDF added that, in line with instructions from the political leadership, it is observing the ceasefire on the Iran front but remains on high alert and prepared to respond to any violation.

At the same time, the military said it is continuing operations, including ground activity, against Hezbollah in Lebanon.
