Homesh: Suspect Confesses to Intentional Attack, Investigation Continues
Suspect confesses to intentional attack in Homesh, leading to one Israeli death; investigation transferred to Shin Bet.
Numerous police and military forces were dispatched to the scene, and two Israelis were evacuated from the scene. Shortly thereafter, one of them was pronounced dead. Upon receiving information about the incident, officers from the Ariel station, forensic investigators, and traffic accident investigators from the Judea and Samaria District, along with IDF and Shin Bet forces, began collecting initial findings and investigating the circumstances of the case. Shortly thereafter, due to various findings that increased suspicion that this was not a traffic accident, the investigation was transferred to the responsibility of the Shin Bet and investigators from the Central Unit in the Judea and Samaria District. During his interrogation, the suspect confessed to the charges against him, and the investigation is ongoing. The Israel Police, Shin Bet, and IDF share in the family’s sorrow.
