Jerusalem, 8 September, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Five people were killed and 12 injured when two terrorists opened fire on passengers on a bus in Jerusalem on Monday morning.
MDA paramedic Nadav Taib said, “We arrived at the scene in large numbers as soon as we received the report of gunshot wounds. When we arrived, we saw people lying unconscious on the road and on the sidewalk near a bus stop. There was significant damage at the scene—shattered glass on the ground and a lot of commotion. We began providing medical treatment to the injured and are continuing to treat and transport them to hospitals.”
Of the 12 Victims, seven suffered serious injuries, two were in moderate condition, and three were lightly injured by glass fragments.
The terrorists were killed by a soldier on the bus. According to security officials, the attackers were from Judea and Samaria. It was not immediately clear how they entered Israel.
The attack forced Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to skip a scheduled hearing for his corruption trial that morning.
“Several severe security incidents at several scenes with fatalities” required Netanyahu to “participate in a series of consultations, security updates, [and] make urgent decisions,” Netanayhu’s attorney, Noa Milstein, told the Jerusalem District Court.
