The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Confrontation Line Forum and Head of the Mateh Asher Regional Council, Moshe Davidovitch, the Mayor of Nahariya and heads of authorities from the North, along with the Chairman of the Knesset Interior and Environmental Protection Committee, MK Yitzhak Kroizer, the Director of the Emergency Administration at the Ministry of Interior, the Director of the Administration for Local Government, and additional professional personnel from the Ministry.
During the meeting, the challenges facing the authorities in the North were discussed, and many responses were provided to the emergency needs raised by the heads of authorities in the areas of protection and maintaining operational continuity. The meeting was held with full attention and a desire to provide real-time responses to the needs presented by the heads of authorities.
As part of the meeting, the Director-General of the Ministry of Interior committed to acting to expedite budgets and promote the necessary responses for the authorities, as well as to act to promote the government’s decision on the rehabilitation of the North as soon as possible. A personalized support package was also promised to the authorities according to the issues raised by the heads of authorities, with the aim of strengthening the authorities and assisting them in dealing with the budgetary, security, and civilian challenges in the region.
