34 Firefighting Teams Working to Contain Fire with Hazardous Materials Caused by Missile Strike

34 firefighting teams are working to contain a hazardous materials fire at the Neot Hovav Industrial Area, caused by a missile strike near Be'er Sheva.

Jerusalem, 29 March, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel’ Fire and Rescue Service reported that 34 firefighting teams are currently operating at “full intensity” to contain the fire at the site of a missile strike in the Neot Hovav Industrial Area, located outside of Be’er Sheva in the Negev, calling this is a hazardous materials incident.

As a precaution and due to the nature of the incident, workers at the facility and nearby facilities have been requested to evacuate the exposed areas and shelter in protected structures until the completion of operational decontamination activities. At this stage, no casualties have been reported.
