Jerusalem, 24 March, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The Israel Police confirmed that a 27-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene after a Hezbollah rocket fell on a road close to Mahanayim Junction in the Finger of the Galilee, along the Lebanese border.
Several other individuals lightly injured from the strike were evacuated from the site.
From an initial investigation of the incident details, the police said it appears that a driver who heard the air raid sirens stopped her vehicle on the side of the road and headed to the area beyond the safety barrier in order to take cover. Seconds later, a rocket that struck a short distance from her caused her severe injury, after which medical authorities pronounced her dead at the scene.
