Work grant payment moved to Wednesday
Israel's work grant payment for eligible low-wage workers and the self-employed has been moved to Wednesday. Apply online for this crucial economic support.
The work grant is paid by the Authority directly to the bank accounts of eligible individuals who meet the conditions stipulated by law. Its purpose is to improve the economic situation of low-wage workers, reduce socio-economic gaps, and serve as an incentive for their integration into the labor market. Applying for the grant is simple and easy, and is done online on the Tax Authority website.
The grant is paid in several installments, depending on the date of application, with the final installment paid on February 15th of the following year.
Eligible for the grant are employees and self-employed individuals aged 21 and over who are parents, or aged 55 and over, even without children, whose income meets the criteria stipulated by law.
Starting in 2024, an additional work grant is available to an employee who is a parent of a toddler (up to age 3). Additionally, employed women can apply for an advance payment on account of the work grant for 2025, if they meet the following conditions: born after January 1, 1960, are over 60 years old, and meet the criteria stipulated by law.
