Sea of Galilee Rises 11 cm in February, Still Far From Full
Sea of Galilee rises 11cm in February from Jordan River flow & rains, but Israel Water Authority states more precipitation is crucial to fully fill the lake.
Jerusalem, 16 February, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The water level of the Sea of Galilee (Kinneret Lake) rose 11 cm in February, the Israel Water Authority said.
The rise is attributed to a 12-cubic-meter-per-second flow from the Jordan River and recent rains in the north.
“A lot more rain and precipitation are needed to fill the gap in the national lake,” the Authority said.
