Public Announcement Regarding the Procedure for Determining Conditions for Geographical Delimitation and Occupation in the Licenses of Asylum Seekers and Infiltrators – Update as of 23.02.2026
The Population and Immigration Authority has delayed implementing geographic restrictions for asylum seekers and infiltrators for three months.
At this time, and in the absence of a serving Minister of Interior, the Acting Director General of the Population and Immigration Authority decided to refrain from implementing the provisions of “Procedure for Handling the Determination of Conditions Regarding Geographical Containment and Occupation in the Licenses of Asylum Seekers and Infiltrators” (Procedure number 10.1.0025) for an additional period of three months, so that during the said period the issue at hand can be brought before the minister who will be appointed. This decision was made given the previous periodic decisions on the matter, in which it was decided by the Minister of Interior to postpone the implementation of the procedure’s provisions.
