Prof. Nava Ratzon Appointed of the National Council for Civilian Research and Development

Prof. Nava Ratzon has been appointed Chair of Israel's National Council for Civilian Research and Development for a four-year term.

Jerusalem, 1 April, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Minister of Innovation and Science Gila Gamliel announced the appointment of Prof. Nava Ratzon to the position of Chair of the National Council for Civilian Research and Development (NCCRD).

The appointment was approved by the President of Israel and will take effect for a period of four years.

Prof. Ratzon replaces Prof. Noga Kronfeld-Shor. She brings with her a wealth of academic and managerial experience, having most recently served as the head of the School of Health Professions at the Faculty of Medicine at Tel Aviv University, where she managed a staff of approximately 2,000 students and 200 faculty members.
