President Isaac Herzog hosted the teams of the Youth Protection Authority of the Ministry of Welfare and Social Services at the President’s Residence: “Your work is truly sacred work.”

The visit was attended by framework managers, supervisors, and staff members of the Authority, who were exposed during the day to the history of the President’s Residence and the values of state leadership that accompany the institution. As part of the professional enrichment, participants heard a lecture on the President’s worldview as a unifying factor, seeking to build bridges between different parts of society, and held a professional dialogue with Adv. Michal Tzuk, Director of the Pardons Department at the President’s Residence. The dialogue discussed the interfaces between rehabilitation processes in the field and the institution of pardons, with an emphasis on the importance of the professionalism of youth protection teams in shaping a second chance for young people.

During the day, the participants met with the President of the State Isaac Herzog and his wife Michal. The President spoke with the managers and supervisors about the professional challenges they face, especially in the current complex period, and expressed deep appreciation for their work.
