Mial Impex recalls shelled pistachios

Mial Impex recalls shelled pistachios imported from Turkey due to high aflatoxin levels found in SMO250153 and SMO250146 batches. Health risks prompt product.

Tests conducted at the warehouse following a customer complaint found levels of aflatoxins in pistachios higher than permitted. This product was imported and marketed by the importer to many customers.
Marketers who purchased the products are requested not to market them and are invited to contact the company to coordinate the return of the goods.

Marketers who have the product are requested not to market it.

Aflatoxins are naturally occurring fungal toxins that can cause long-term illness and damage.
In coordination with the Food Service at the Ministry of Health, Mial Impex 1986 Ltd. logistics center is working to collect the product.
