Local safety directors finish course
26 local safety directors from across Israel completed a major National Road Safety Authority course, gaining skills to reduce road accident casualties in 2026.
Yesterday (15.2.2026), the Safety Headquarters Managers course for local authorities concluded successfully. The course was initiated by the National road safety Authority and held at the Einat Hostel in Haifa, managed by the concessionaire John Bryce.
This is the largest course the National road safety Authority has held to date, with 26 participants from 26 local authorities (cities, local councils, and regional councils), including nine representatives from the Arab community. The course opened on November 5, 2025, lasted for 16 daily sessions, and provided participants with comprehensive professional training.
During the course, participants acquired in-depth knowledge in road safety areas, including traffic engineering, enforcement and law, education and community outreach, alongside essential management content such as setting goals, engagement and influence, recruiting partners, and message delivery. Additionally, the course included a workshop for analyzing road accidents and an applied field tour.
As part of the completion requirements, each participant submitted a final project that dealt with the central issue of road accident casualties in their local authority. Within this project, an applied work plan was developed to promote road safety for the year 2026.
