Israel Prize Winner: Chemistry & Chemical Engineering

Prof. Reshef Teneh receives the prestigious Israel Prize for Chemistry & Chemical Engineering, recognized for his immense contributions to nanomaterials.

The prize committee convened under the chairmanship of Prof. Yitzhak Mastai and with the participation of members Prof. Ira Weinstein, Prof. Michael Zinigerd, and Prof. Irit Sagie.  

The prize committee stated in its reasoning that Prof. Reshef Teneh is one of the most important and prominent scientists to emerge in Israel. He has made an enormous contribution to materials research and physical and inorganic chemistry, and for decades led a scientific revolution in the field of two-dimensional, single-layer nanomaterials. His work has established Israel’s position at the forefront of global scientific research.  

The committee also noted that Prof. Teneh’s scientific discoveries have also contributed to the development of Israeli Industry in the field of lubricants and nanomaterials. Throughout his years of activity, Prof. Teneh has trained dozens of researchers and served in key leadership positions in the field of chemistry.  

The israel prize is the most important and prestigious prize awarded in the state of Israel. The prizes will be awarded on the eve of the 78th independence dayof the state of Israel.
