Initial emergency aid budget to be allocated to local authorities for citizens whose homes were damaged

Aid Details:

  1. A one-time sum of NIS 1,500 for each person who resided in the aforementioned property, to fund the authorities’ expenses in providing an immediate response to residents.
  2. A one-time sum of NIS 500 for each person who resided in the aforementioned property, provided that the local authority transfers this sum as soon as possible directly to each person who resided in the property, for the purpose of funding immediate needs.

The immediate aid budget is in addition to the existing support framework, which includes the budgeting of local authorities and the activities of the Tax Authority‘s compensation fund for direct treatment of war damage victims. Residents whose homes or property have been damaged are invited to report the damage to The Tax Authority hotline or submit an online claim on the Authority’s website.
It should be noted that the responsibility for evacuation lies with the local authority and the Property Tax Department at the Tax Authority.

Director General of The Ministry of Interior, Israel Ozana:
“The Ministry of Interior will continue to stand by the local authorities and assist them with all the tools at its disposal. We prepared in advance to create immediate solutions for the authorities, and the aid now approved is an additional layer in the effort to ensure a rapid and professional response from the local authorities for the residents whose homes have been damaged, and to strengthen their ability to maintain functional continuity. We will continue to stand by the authorities, remove obstacles, and provide resources according to real-time needs, until the end of the campaign.”
