Data from the Fuel and Gas Administration at the Ministry shows that the largest increase was recorded in the consumption of jet fuel (DSL) for civil aviation, which saw an increase of about 25% compared to 2024. Specifically, there was an increase of about 50% in the last quarter of 2025 compared to the corresponding quarter last year – this is due to the increase in the number of international flights during the year, and especially in recent months after the cessation of the war. At the same time, there is still a decrease in DSL consumption for civil aviation of about 14% compared to 2023.

Similarly, an increase of about 3% was recorded in diesel consumption for transportation and industry compared to 2024. This is due to the gradual return of evacuated residents in the south and north to their homes and the recovery of the business sector, which consumes diesel in heavy transportation and local industry throughout the country.

Regarding gasoline, in 2025 there was no change in consumption compared to the previous year, due to the shift to electric and hybrid vehicles. However, there was an increase of about 4% in gasoline consumption in the last quarter of 2025 compared to the last quarter of 2024, which also indicates the recovery of the economy.

Furthermore, in 2025, there was an increase of about 3% in LPG consumption, which is used for cooking and domestic heating, as well as for industry. It can also be noted that last year the trend of decreasing fuel oil consumption in industry and the economy continued, due to the increase in the use of natural gas in this sector and for electricity production. In 2025, a decrease of about 10% in fuel oil consumption was recorded in the economy, and concurrently, a decrease of about 47% in fuel oil consumption for bunkering ships was recorded.
