Assaf Refeld, Director of the Jerusalem District at the Israel Land Authority: “The Israel Land Authority continues to work to promote the tourism industry and develop the Ashdod coastline. In cooperation with the Ashdod Municipality and the Ministry of Tourism, the state is investing diverse resources to create a tourism mix along the coastline. The proposed mix, combining hotels, leisure, culinary, and open public spaces, is expected to serve as an additional and significant growth engine for the city of Ashdod and its surroundings.”

Michael Yitzhakov, Director-General of the Ministry of Tourism: “Ashdod is one of the largest and most developing cities in Israel, and we see significant tourism potential in it. Marketing the plot for hotels is part of Tourism Minister Haim Katz’s policy to promote new initiatives to strengthen tourism infrastructure in the country, expand the room supply, and attract entrepreneurs who will contribute to driving the local economy.”

Mayor Dr. Yehiel Lasri: “Ashdod is a cultural, social, and tourist metropolis, and in line with its vision, we have established several hotels throughout the city, and we are looking forward to expanding the offerings for visitors. Ashdod is part of Israel’s tourism map; it has a long and magnificent coastline, hotels, restaurants, and some of the finest culinary experiences in Israel, and it is a destination for domestic and international tourism. I welcome the decision to tender for a hotel complex and am confident that anyone who comes to Ashdod will discover a magical and unique city and enjoy all that it has to offer.”
