Giv’at Haviva Summit: Promoting Shared Society

Israel's President demands urgent action against violence in Arab society at Giv'at Haviva summit, calling for equal law enforcement to ensure safety for all.

The President’s Residence:

At the Givat Haviva conference for promoting a shared society, which I attended today, I reiterated my strong call to uproot the phenomenon of terrible violence in Arab society.

The issue of crime, delinquency, and the loss of personal security in Arab society in Israel is a national challenge in every respect. A challenge that must occupy the country’s leaders day by day with top priority.

The law in the Arab street is Israeli law, and it must be ensured that it is enforced not only when it comes to building violations, but in all aspects of life, and first and foremost when human lives, Jews and Arabs alike, are at stake. The reality is not a decree of fate, but a critical national mission that can be addressed.
