During the visit, the research team conducted a scientific survey in Ethiopia as part of a joint study with Mekelle University focusing on the tectonic development of the Afro-Arabian Rift.
The article was published in the Teva HaDvarim magazine, Issue 354 – April 2025 and was written in collaboration with David Ben-Uziel (Tarzan).
An article recently published in the Teva HaDvarim magazine describes a visit of GSI researchers Prof. Ram Weinberger and Dr. Ran Issachar in the Afar Triangle in Ethiopia.
The visit was held following increased seismic activity related to subsurface volcanic activity.
