The Inspector General of the Israel Police, Commissioner Danny Levy, held a meeting today with Arab local authority heads at the National Headquarters in Jerusalem. During the meeting, key issues concerning strengthening security in the Arab sector, ways to deal with violence and crime in Arab society, and the important need to deepen cooperation between the police, local authority heads, and various public representatives were discussed. The Inspector General reviewed the police’s activities from his assumption of office until today, and reiterated the Israel Police’s commitment to continue operating uncompromisingly against crime organizations harming law-abiding citizens, and to do everything possible to eradicate crime. The meeting was attended by Commander Ma’oz Ben Shabo, responsible for crime in Arab society; Commander Ran Levi, Head of the Community and Police Division; Superintendent Moti Schiff, Deputy Head of the Investigations and Intelligence Division, and Head of the Intelligence Department, Superintendent Oshri Abukasis. The local authority heads welcomed the Inspector General for holding the meeting and committed to continuing to strengthen cooperation with the Israel Police in order to severely disrupt crime organizations.
